Edible Peeps Play Dough 🐣
It’s squishy, colorful, smells like childhood, and keeps the kiddos entertained just long enough for you to finish your lukewarm coffee. Oh, and did I mention—it’s totally edible (though, like... maybe don’t eat the whole batch).
This Hot Mess mini craft is perfect for post-Easter cleanup that turns into chaotic creativity. Plus, it's a great way to use those Peeps without actually having to eat them.
So grab the cornstarch, microwave those little fluffballs, and let the glittery mess begin.

Hot Mess, Handmade Mini Craft:
Edible Peeps Play Dough
A sticky-sweet way to turn leftover Easter chaos into creative fun (and maybe a sugar rush or two).
What You’ll Need (a.k.a. your Hot Mess Supply List):
5 Peeps (any color—go rainbow if you're feelin’ fancy)
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon coconut oil (or any mild oil you’ve got in your pantry)
A microwave-safe bowl
A spoon you probably shouldn’t use for anything else after this
A surface to knead (wax paper, silicone mat, or just embrace the mess)
Instructions (a.k.a. Controlled Chaos):
1. Toss those Peeps into your bowl like you mean it.
2. Add the coconut oil. Microwave for 30 seconds until they puff up like they’re about to escape.
3. Stir in the cornstarch until it starts to look like dough. Warning: It’s going to be sticky. Like, “what have I done?” sticky.
4. Knead the mixture on your surface until it's doughy and less chaotic. Add a little more cornstarch if needed (or if your toddler is side-eyeing you with sticky hands).
5. Boom. You’ve got edible play dough that smells like childhood and sugar.
Hot Mess Tip:
This dough is technically edible… but maybe don't let them eat too much. It’s more fun to squish than a snack. Maybe.
